The Houston Academy for International Studies is made possible through a partnership with the Houston Independent School District, the Houston Community College Central Campus, Houston A+ Challenge and the Asia Society’s Network of International Studies Schools. The partners are grateful to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation for their visionary support of the international studies schools network.

Asia Society, an established leader in international business, educational, and cultural programming in the United States and abroad, has been named one of several intermediary organizations to receive a grant from the Gates Foundation to develop a network of small schools throughout the nation. As one of these schools, the CSI High School for International Studies will join a prestigious community of affiliated institutions that will benefit from the Asia Society’s experience and expertise in international educational instruction, including rich professional development and teaching materials, international exchanges, museum-based learning experiences, and multimedia resources.
